| Item | Cost | Comment |
|---|
| Game | $200 | Craig's List Buy |
| AR Board | $23 | John had known working boards |
| Coin Door Parts | $40 | Mechs, Rejects, Labels and springs |
| Board Repair Estimate | $125 | This assumes buying from Alex |
| Shroud Artwork Estimate | $30 |   |
| Transport | $45 |   |
| Sale Target | ($500) | TK this one's for you |
Hopefully the $100 is not actually consumed by the additional costs of transport and I can count some money on the labor side.

I replaced the dingy old buttons with nice, new, tidy white ones. I also replaced the reject plungers and installed coin mechs. Things are looking better.

The coin mechs are missing but the customer wants to drop quarters. I am ordering Coin mechs, reject buttons and the associated parts. The reject buttons are not working well and have no labels and one is cracked. I ordered new springs to return the normal function of these buttons. I ordered label inserts I think I have the bulbs in stock.

The boards arrived form John. I swapped one in to the cabinet and the sound is working.
I examined the "dead" AR board and found that pin 4 on J8 is sheared off. That probably happened while we were moving the game from the basement of the seller's house. That was a very difficult move. The J8 connector is the audio output connection. The broken pin 4 means no sound was leaving the board.

I bought a few compatible AR boards from John. At $23 each, shipped it is well worth not continuing to guess the cause.

I tested the machine and discovered the sound is not working. I checked the volume pot, that is up all the way. The Test Points on the AR board show acceptable voltage ranges. The wires to the speaker are fine.

Ran for about 2 hours. The Vectors are
squashed on the Y Axis so I asked about a fix. I was directed to the Digital to Analog Converters.
The Marquee doesn't light up. I didn't coin up yet so I am not sure if the sound and buttons work, but the Player buttons lit on start up.

I split a deal with Doug on this Asteroids and a Centipede he wanted. We had a bear of a time loading them, but they got home safe. This was my first Craig's List Buy.
