I consulted Steve at arcadeshop and he advised I replace the IC501 to fix the vertical hold problem on my monitor. I ordered it and replaced it. Working fine now.

I finally learned enough to know that the monitor was not in need of adjustment, it was in need of repair or replacement. I repaired this monitor with a cap kit.

Found this one on-line. She is faded, but working!
