Welcome to melchman's Guide. This is the repository for research, reference materials, joke collections, stories and mantras. Anything I collected over the years and want to keep handy (internet accessible) is here. Many of these pages are only helpful to a few people. Other pages are stories I keep retelling, lessons I keep reteaching or jokes I keep repeating.

Theme

I chose to style these pages after the old green screen command line interface. It's not pure, I allow hyperlinking and a few graphics, but it's a fell I happen to like. The font should be large enough to read on small screens and the contrast ratio is good for my eyes.

Presentation

The navigation pane show the keyword for the articles (pages) and will cascade to display individual pages when selected. The article or keyword pages will display here. There is an additional screen below the navigation screen which will list the keyword and any warning like parental advisory or sarcastic content.

Organization

I tried organizing the guide a few times, but failed. Some cross referencing exists embedded in the pages. Some Articles (pages) list a prerequisite article. I finally settled on keywords in the navigation pane, it hides the actual articles but it keeps the menu shorter and provides a place to organize the articles into topic tracks for new users.

Offensive Material

Some articles contain offensive material. You will not find pornography or cracked software or anything else that will get my hosting company to dump my site. However, some of the material in the joke articles is tasteless, rude, politically incorrect or demeaning to some group of people who can organize and afford a lawyer (including lawyers).
