This one needed Serious cleaning and disinfecting. Many of the Pole Position upright have mouse infestations. I don’t know if the wires were particularly yummy or the bulbs nice and warm but many of these host mice. This is the worst in a long time.

The smell was not good. We hauled it out of the shop and began to de-mouse it. We pulled the glass, control panel and shroud than rock fit over on its side. Brushes, rasps, sanders, Dremels and other tools were used to remove the nest, rust and stink from the wood and metal components.

Acquired this in a multiple game buy in Kinnelon, NJ. We went for a Defender Project and brought home Defender, Pole Position and Asteroids. All in pretty rough shape. All games I restored multiple times. I have the parts and repair guys lined up for these. Just a matter of shop time and demand until they pop out.
